Pine Grove ground rules: Ump picks a marker in Left Center, anything over the fence to the left of marker is double, to the right is a HR. However, the 6th ball over the fence in left (by the same team) is an out. It is advisable to have a few extra good balls available, doesn't have to be new, but try your best. BRING A HOME PLATE.
The following worked out great for the April 22nd games. We should put this into the rules for next year when we are trying to squeeze in games when rain is in the forecast. >>> accelerated rules due to rain forecast for late morning/early afternoon. No infield practice after 1st inning. Pitcher still gets 3 pitches. Starting with 6th inning: 1-1 count on all batters. Second game start soon after first games completes, but no earlier than 9:30, and each team has at least 9 players.
